Jagdeep Dhankhar is an Indian politician, lawyer, and the 14th Vice President of India, currently serving since August 11, 2022. He is known for his long and varied career in public service, law, and politics.

He was a successful advocate and practiced in the Rajasthan High Court and the Supreme Court of India.
Legal Career:
Jagdeep Dhankhar built a strong legal reputation, especially in constitutional and service law.
He was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Rajasthan High Court.

Political Career:
Joined politics in 1989 and was elected to the 9th Lok Sabha from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, as a Janata Dal candidate.
Served as Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs under Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar (1990-91).
Later joined the Indian National Congress, and then the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He has also served in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.

Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned. He wrote a letter stating that he is leaving his post due to health reasons and on medical advice. No one even knew that he had such an idea until his resignation letter was released. On Monday, the first day of the Parliament session, the Rajya Sabha was convened. However, the House did not function smoothly due to the opposition’s concerns.
Dhankhar’s resignation, which is known for his provocative statements, was unexpected. Politicians do not resign due to health reasons. He will not have much work as the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Even if the Rajya Sabha is not convened, the Deputy Chairman will. Others will. It is believed that he resigned for a special reason.
