A 17-year-old boy in the UK not only passed his first test by learning to drive through YouTube videos instead of taking traditional driving classes, but also saved a huge amount of money.

The youngster named Olly Bird watched various driving tutorials for about 30 hours, in which expert instructors explained in detail aspects of driving, rules of the road, parking, clutch and reverse control.

Along with this, Oli gained practical skills like steering, braking and accelerator control with the help of go-kart racing and computer driving simulators.

The former passed the driving test in the first attempt after only three weeks of preparation and soon removed his “runner plates”.
Note that taking classes with traditional instructors to learn driving in the UK costs around 1,200 to 1,600 pounds, while the former saved around 1,000 to 1,300 pounds by using only free online materials.
