Saudi F-35 Fighter Jet Deal US President Donald Trump has announced that he will sell F35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. He said that Saudi Arabia will also buy 300 battle tanks from the US. It was revealed that agreements have been signed between the two countries for this. Trump welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who came to the US for a visit, at the White House on Tuesday morning. Later, the two leaders announced in a press conference that they had signed several agreements.
He said that agreements were signed between the two countries for further cooperation in the civil nuclear agreement, cooperation in capital and critical minerals markets, and prevention of money laundering and terror financing. However, Trump asked Saudi Arabia to accept the Abraham Accords and improve relations with Israel. Responding to this, the Saudi prince said that they would only be part of the agreement if Palestine was guaranteed a separate state. Speaking at the meeting, the Saudi prince announced that they are planning to increase their investments in the United States from $600 billion to $1 trillion.
They said this is a long-term opportunity for them. Meanwhile, there are concerns that if Saudi Arabia is given F35 fighter jets, the technology will fall into the hands of China. Also, since America supports Israel, leaders of Trump’s own party are expressing surprise at giving these fighter jets to a country that is close to that country. Also, Trump has been criticized for welcoming Saudi Prince Mohammed at the White House, even though he is not officially the head of state.

Saudi Prince Mohammed has been accused of involvement in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Mary Bruce asked Prince Mohammed and Trump what they had to say about this. Trump said that the prince had nothing to do with the murder. Prince Mohammed said that Khashoggi’s death was tragic and that it was a big mistake.
