Digital Learning Transforms

Villages in Telangana’s Sangareddy district—such as Aandol, Narayanpet, and Maddur—along with Adavi Srirampur in Motharam mandal of Peddapalli district, are now becoming key centers of an internet-driven transformation. While students in urban areas still rely on private and corporate-led digital learning tools that often remain inaccessible to rural learners, these villages are taking bold strides forward.

This initiative began as a pilot project by the Telangana state government, spearheaded by IT Minister Sridhar Babu. It was initially rolled out in Sangareddy and Peddapalli districts. Adavi Srirampur, located about 200 kilometers from Hyderabad and home to around 1,200 families, now has fiber internet connectivity in nearly 900 households. The program was officially launched by Minister Sridhar Babu through a virtual event on December 8, 2024.

Digital Learning Transforms Education in Adavi Srirampur

Since last year, high-speed internet services have been consistently delivered through FTTH (Fiber to the Home) in Adavi Srirampur, located in Mutharam Mandal. This connectivity has enabled Zilla Parishad High School to conduct classes for students from grades 8 to 10 using digital infrastructure. To support this, the school has been equipped with three digital boards and two computer monitors.

Education in the village is now thriving through digital platforms. Students actively use search engines like Google and tools like Pixity AI, often interacting via voice commands to clarify their doubts and explore topics. They also access the Telangana School app to watch interactive lesson-based videos, marking a major shift from traditional teaching methods. This digital transformation is driving a quiet revolution in the way students learn at Adavi Srirampur Government School.

Today, students at the local government school are making the most of high-speed internet access with a forward-looking mindset, setting themselves apart from their peers in many parts of the country.

With the rollout of high-speed T-Fiber connectivity, traditional cable TV usage in the village has declined, as most households now prefer streaming content via OTT platforms. The benefits extend beyond education—software professionals who return to their hometown can now work remotely, thanks to the robust internet infrastructure.
