Pros & Cons:

Pros:

  1. Premium build and displays — one of the best in foldables: strong brightness, durable materials, thinner profile.
  2. Top-tier camera system especially with the 200 MP main sensor; improves photography.
  3. Powerful processor & AI features make multitasking, productivity, creative tasks easier.
  4. Good software support: being launched with Android 16 + One UI 8, likely to get several years of updates.
  5. IP48 rating — improved protection vs many older foldables.

Cons:

  1. Charging speed is modest — 25 W wired is not fast compared to many non-foldables which have 45-100 W or more.
  2. High cost — premium price, especially for higher storage/RAM variants.
  3. Foldables are inherently less rugged than regular phones — folding mechanism, crease durability, etc., always a concern.
  4. No S Pen built in (official stylus support limited or more restricted). If you used stylus heavily, this might be a downgrade.

How It Compares to Galaxy Z Fold 6

Here are a few areas where Fold 7 improves over Fold 6:

Thickness & weight — Fold 7 is thinner when open and closed, lighter.

Display — slightly larger inner screen; outer cover screen more usable with a more smartphone-like aspect ratio.

Camera resolution upgraded (200 MP vs what Fold 6 had).

Build materials & durability boosted; IP48 rating retained/improved.

However, many core drawbacks remain similar (battery size, charging speed, cost).
